Here is a brief biography of my background and qualifications. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
For 20 years I sold mid-century furniture through my shop in Holland Park. I travelled frequently between France, Italy and Scandinavia sourcing interesting design for private and commercial projects. Reaching 40 I needed a change. I was working all the time, rundown and had depleted my passion and motivation. I decided on a change. I closed the shop and relocated to the Isle of Wight to build a house and live by the sea. For the next few years I was co-director of an online auction house, hosting pop up events across West London. After that I took 2 years out to study for a Masters degree.
I had never planned to retrain. It slowly emerged through an interest in yoga, ayurveda and meditation that had developed through years of travel in Asia. My turning point came when I studied at the Esalen Human Potential Institute in California. For over 50 years Esalen has been at the forefront of combining Eastern philosophy, western psychology and the latest developments in neuroscience. I have been back many times, and am inspired by how environments influence peoples potential. I recreate these conditions through coaching. I offer a place to experiment without fear or judgement.
I have not always found change easy and am well versed in procrastination, even though my best outcomes have come about through risk. Often the right decision in one area of life conflicts with another. It's not easy balancing work, health, relationships, family, hobbies, mindfulness and an iPhone habit.
We are not machines, so I bring humour and humanity to my work. I combine this with rigorous academic training, professional supervision and the best ethical standards of organisational membership.
